Greg Matthews is dedicated to the study and strategic evolution of online healthcare communications and is the creator of MDigitalLife: Understanding, engaging and activating the online health ecosystem.

As a managing director at the W2O Group, Matthews is a strategic advisor to dozens of the largest and most successful healthcare companies in the world, including hospital systems, health insurers, pharma/biotech manufacturers, medical device companies, health IT companies, and consumer health companies. He also does extensive work with physicians and senior executives to help them to activate their online networks in a safe, responsible and effective way. His ultimate goal is to elevate the dialog between all the players in the health ecosystem, resulting in better health outcomes for patients and populations.

Matthews is a regular public speaker, and his work has been featured in numerous top-selling business books by authors such as Charlene Li (“Open Leadership”); Bill Taylor (“Practically Radical”) and Larry Weber (“Everywhere.”) and in publications such as Health Affairs, Business Insider, KevinMD, MedPage Today, MedCrunch and Medical Marketing and Media.

His ultimate goal is to help clients improve healthcare for all by understanding how to utilize data insights from the health ecosystem.

Dana Lewis is passionate about improving relationships and communications to ultimately simplify and improve the healthcare experience, with a focus on the many relationships and intersections in healthcare, from the patient-provider relationship to the relationship between employees or patients and providers to healthcare systems and organizations. Her experience spans innovation, analytics, and health communications with health systems, medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and other healthcare organizations. As Director of MDigitalLife at W2O Group, Lewis has a deep understanding of the evolution of topics, language, behavior & influence for online healthcare audiences and advises healthcare companies in projects with the aim of ultimately improving the health of their patients/consumers/customers.

Lewis is well known in the healthcare social media space, first and foremost from founding & leading the #hcsm Twitter chat community since 2009. Additionally, before joining W2O Group, she spent years in a digital leadership role supporting a non-profit health system and other health organizations in connecting patients with health information and services online.

Lewis is also known as a leading ePatient, frequently speaking worldwide and publishing on topics related to patient engagement and the DIY and #WeAreNotWaiting movement. She has worked directly with healthcare device manufacturers to help them solves problems from the patient’s perspective. Having first developed her own “Do It Yourself” Artificial Pancreas System (known as #DIYPS), she also leads the #OpenAPS open source movement and community to make safe and effective basic artificial pancreas technology available (sooner) for people with diabetes.
