The Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media Health Network has taken a leadership role in bringing together the various elements of the online health ecosystem, including hospitals, doctors, patients and healthcare companies. Since its inception in 2010, it has collected best practices from each of these groups, educated the individual members and raised the overall level of knowledge in the health ecosystem.
